In 2004, to herald the commitment to excellence
and the growing success of custom publishing,
the CCC launched the continent’s first award
program devoted exclusively to custom
publishing. Custom content providers—small and
large; B2B and B2C; representing clients in a wide
range of industries; and producing magazines,
newsletters, and web publications—have
responded. In 2004, 250 entries were submitted;
in recent years, the entry count has exceeded
600.
through the Pearl Awards, the CCC is showing:
• How far custom publishing has come in the past decade
• How much credibility custom content now has with readers
• How valuable custom media has become as an integrated marketing tool for its
sponsors
through these awards, the CCC—along with its panel of esteemed judges—celebrates:
• Excellence in journalism
• Excellence in graphic design and publication packaging
• Excellence in the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies built around custom content
• Excellence in the creative use of digital media
The Rules
Who Is Eligible to Enter?
All companies providing custom content services, including independent custom publishers, divisions of larger publishing houses, advertising agencies, and other media
conglomerates—whether or not they are currently members of the Custom Content Council—may (and should) enter their publications. Corporate marketing departments are also eligible to enter—and they are urged to advise outside companies providing custom publishing services for them to enter on their behalf. All publications, whether print or digital, must have been produced between July 1, 2011 and June 30, 2012
